Join us for a mellow ride from Stapleton to City Park and back to enjoy some yummy ice cream at Constellation, the newest Little Man location in Denver. We will meet at REI and head south on the South Platte, loop through Chatfield to do the Dam and then head east on C470 to Jordan Road before cutting back north through Cherry Creek State Park. Mellow Mondays is a series of rides for all riders. These are leisurely, social rides around the metro area that will mix a fun theme, food / ice cream and some biking! Helmet required! 🙂 We will leave Morrison and amble through Bear Creek Park before heading down the C-470 trail to Ken Caryl. This is an out and back ride. When we get back to Morrison, we will head into town and get some ice cream. We will start the ride promptly at 6 PM, so make sure to arrive early enough to depart on time! The ride will be mostly flat and 15 miles in length. Join us for this leisurely paced, fun ride around the west side of town. This weekend, we are heading south for a change in scenery! We will meet in the Safeway parking lot at 880 S Perry St, Castle Rock, CO 80104 *Don’t park next to the Big O Tires*** To get there from Denver take I-25 south to Castle Rock. Take exit #181 (Plum Creek Parkway) and go left (east) .2 miles to Perry St. Turn right approx 1/2 blk to Rio Grande Drive and turn left into the shopping center. If you enjoy wildlife, this is the ride for you. Llamas, alpacas, buffalo, cows, horses, bald eagles are the standard fare but we’ve also seen camels and elephants that graze during the Renaissance Festival. The Black riders will go to Palmer Lake while the Blue riders will turn and head back. We will likely try to get lunch afterwards so come prepared to change and get something to eat!
