ABOUT THIS TRIP:
Let’s enjoy the snow at Keystone! Meet TUESDAY morning at Wooly Mammoth (section HH) at 700am (wheels up by 710am) or by the River Run Gondola at 845am.
Please give your driver $5-$10 CASH for gas and wear & tear on the vehicle (mandatory).
Summit County & non-Denver Area snow enthusiasts are welcome to meet us at River Run at ~845am or at 1130am for lunch (check Comments for location). We will likely ski North Peak & The Outback, and have limited cell phone coverage.
700a at Wooly Mammoth Parking Lot (exit-i70 #259); Section HH
710a – Wheels Up!
KEYSTONE: 845a at the River Run Gondola (Watch the Comments for updates based on travel time.)
LUNCH: 1130am – Location TBD – Check Comments the day of event.
330pm-ish – Depart Keystone
SKILL LEVEL: You must be able to ski or snowboard at an INTERMEDIATE level. You must be able to ski / snowboard at a moderate pace on BLUE terrain.
This is NOT a trip for a beginner.
The group may split based on ability levels, or just catch up at the same lift when skiing different trails.
LONG RANGE FORECAST: NWS is showing light snow from Sunday afternoon into Tuesday. Expect snowy & icy roads. Loveland Pass conditions / closure and tunnel issues may delay meeting at River Run.
CONDITIONS: Winter conditions with highly variable coverage across the resort. The snowpack will be thin in some places, and powdery in others. There may be ice, rocks, and roots & limbs on open ski runs.
Untracked areas may not have a compacted base. (That is, you may hit a lot of rocks, limbs or downed trees if you venture off into the woods.)
