BConnected runs on about $500 a month. That covers the essentials: insurance, website, design tools, event supplies. We’re led by a working board, powered by volunteers, and funded by our own members. No corporate backing, no grant money. We built this on our own terms, and we fund it the same way. That only works if enough of us chip in.

Paying the people who hold this up
Every hour of hosting, organizing, and leadership here is unpaid. Ten years and 650 events, all on donated time. It can’t stay that way forever — unpaid communities burn out the people they depend on most. Our first funding priority is stipends for our most dedicated hosts, and moving toward compensating the leadership that keeps this running.
Workshops & Skillshares
We want workshops on the calendar — starting with mixed-orientation couples, one of the most underserved groups in the queer world. That takes paid facilitators and bigger rooms. Your support is what puts both within reach.
Someday, a home of our own
A dedicated BConnected space, with our name on the lease. It’s a long way off. Every new sustaining member moves it up.

BConnected Colorado is a 501c3, so your gift is tax-deductible. Want to know who’s minding the money? Meet the board. And if money’s not your thing right now, volunteering counts just as much.
$10/month: Fuel the Basics You cover the real-world stuff every event needs: supplies, insurance, the website, welcome letters for first-timers. The unglamorous things that have to exist before anyone can walk through the door.
$25/month: Grow the Community You help us pay the people who make things happen — stipends for our most dedicated hosts and, eventually, the facilitators who’ll run our workshops and Skillshares.
$50/month: Sow Seeds for the Future You’re funding the next size up: bigger rooms, bigger events, and the savings account that someday becomes a space with our name on the lease.
$100/month: Empower Queer Leadership You make it possible for the people who hold this community up to be paid for it, so BConnected runs on commitment instead of burnout.
