Lake Day!

Paddlers, kayakers, lake-lovers, come join in on our first Lake Day of the year! Bring your favorite watercraft, sunscreen, snacks, and grillable fare for a day at Standley Lake. Been curious to try? Come rent or share!

Need to know:

• Come to the north entrance off W 100th Ave near Simms; cost to enter the park is $7 per vehicle or $10 per watercraft
• Standley Lake does not allow glass or alcohol and is also a no-swim lake (this event is focused on paddling/kayaking and beach time)
• Standley Lake does not allow any large motor boats (see link for what is allowed)
• You’ll need to have your craft decontaminated for invasive species prior to entering the water, ask for instructions for this at the entrance gate
• One life jacket per person is required on your craft while on the lake
• Rentals are available (see link)
• We will grab some picnic tables for food, but bring camp chairs, snacks, or other comforts along with you. We’ll be at the day use/picnic area
• This is an 18+ event

• How to find us

  We will have pride flags displayed on or near our picnic table. To get to the picnic area, you’ll need to take the dirt road near the nature center toward the picnic/day use area.

• PS, when you RSVP, you’ll get a confirmation email that is a ticket, but because this is a free BConnected event, you don’t need to show it when you arrive. Keep the email as a reminder of the time and location. (You will need to pay the park fees, however.)
