Support Volunteer Hosts + Our New Public Events Calendar

BConnected is volunteer-run, and we’re building reliable systems so hosts aren’t paying out of pocket. We’re also improving our scheduling capabilities to keep events accessible.

This fundraiser supports three things:

A website upgrade: A public events calendar on our site—so our events aren’t hidden behind Meetup’s paywall, and more bi+ and queer folks can find us.

Supplies for the Volunteer Hosts (tote bags, pens, new-member stickers, clipboards, name tags, etc.)

Host Appreciation: Quarterly appreciation dinners for our hosts.

Quarterly Drive
Goal: $2500 by April 1st

Last year, 20 volunteer hosts facilitated 100+ BConnected events. In 2026, we plan to double that. To scale without burning out volunteers, we’re funding shared event supplies, host appreciation, and our website upgrade (public events calendar).

When someone walks into a BConnected event—especially for the first time—the host setup is what makes it feel easy to join in. Your donation helps keep the hosts supplied with what they need and keeps volunteering for BConnected fun and sustainable.

We Stretch Every Dollar

We buy supplies in bulk to reduce cost per event and avoid last-minute runs.
We reorder quarterly, based on actual usage.
We use nonprofit purchasing exemptions to avoid paying sales tax on qualifying supplies.

Choose Your Impact

$20 — Helps stock welcome-table basics for upcoming events (name tags, info cards, stickers).
$50 — Covers quarterly replenishment items shared across multiple events (paper, pens/markers, printing supplies).
$100 — Funds the supplies hosts need to run events (everything that goes into their host bags) and helps cover a host appreciation dinner.
$250 — Underwrites supplies across multiple events this quarter.
$500 — Provides major quarterly support: supplies + gear replacement when needed, and helps fund our new public events calendar on the website.
$1000 — Sustaining-level support for all three goals: supplies for volunteer hosts, host appreciation dinners, and the website upgrade so events stay accessible beyond Meetup.
