Hello Friends & Allies,
What a week, amiright—the election, nonstop headlines, I mean—all of it. If you’re feeling scared, overwhelmed, or like you wanna just grieve for a bit, I get it. If you want the support of Bi/Queer people right now, come to an event. We’re here! If you’re an ally and want to help—we need your support.
Here’s the good news: if you haven’t heard, BConnected Colorado is officially a nonprofit, which means we’re here to stay. And not only that, we’re gonna get bigger and stronger! We’ve almost hit 2,800 members in our social group. WOOT WOOT!
Now more than ever, we need community, a space to unwind, laugh, and support each other. So let’s keep showing up, having each other’s backs, and creating QUEER JOY, no matter what’s happening out there.
Thank you so much to those of you who have been participating in building up this community over the years. You’ve made a difference in more people’s lives than you know. And to the newbies—we can’t wait to meet you! BConnected is a thriving Bi/Queer social club dedicated to building community.

BConnected Colorado—The NONPROFIT! 🎉
I’ve been talking about this for years, and we finally made it happen. And by “we,” I mean myself (Three Brodsky) and our new board of directors—Timmy EverLes and Jacob Valore.
— This is Exciting for Two Reasons —
1. Building a Solid Foundation:
In the old days, BConnected was just a Meetup group—now it’s an officially recognized organization! This structure gives us staying power and stability for the long term. In the original model, it was pretty much a one-person show—if something happened to me (like if I fell off my barstool in a tragic accident), BConnected could just fizzle away, which would be sad. But now, our group is developing a clear structure with more voices and decision-makers.
2. Making it Sustainable:
With our 501(c)(3) status, we can start to fundraise and bring more abundance into our community. Organizations take time, money, and energy to run. Paid staff, funded programs, and more events will establish a thriving local Bi/Queer culture that we can enjoy for years to come.
I’m shooting big people—I want us to have nice things.
— Why Your Support Matters —
I want BConnected to be around for the long haul. Being alone and isolated? Not in our town! Having a sense of belonging within a community is integral to your physical, emotional, spiritual, and mental health. When each of us gives what we can in terms of showing up to events, creating a welcoming environment, and volunteering in small ways (including financially), we all create a tight-knit, collaborative community where lasting friendships, partnerships, AND EVEN BABIES are created. See the photo above of one of our very own BConnected babies!
I’m suggesting a monthly tax-deductible investment of $20, but any amount you’re comfortable with helps. There’s a lot of us—every dollar will add up quickly if we all throw down. We also need volunteers!
— The Goals We Want to Fund —
Goal #1: Safeguard our organizational needs
Right now, I’m still working on covering our basic costs—website maintenance, bookkeeping expenses, Meetup fees, printing costs, and INSURANCE (that was a tiny bit reckless that we never had that before, but we do now—so yay). I’d love to raise $500+ a month from the community by this year’s end to ensure we stay afloat!
Goal #2: Programs to Support & Empower Bi+ and Queer Folks
We have big dreams: workshops, skillshares, mentorship programs, and support groups. Remember how isolating and nerve-wracking coming out felt before you knew other Bi/Queer people? We’re creating a community where no one has to go it alone anymore. Our workshops will also be a way to create revenue for BConnected, so it’s a win-win! There are almost no services for Bi people right now—let’s take care of each other, cuz, not to be all dark and dramatic—no one else will.
Goal #3: A CLUBHOUSE!
This is a long-term goal, and it’s one I’m excited about! Imagine a dedicated safe space just for us—a beautiful cozy Bi/Queer sanctuary for potlucks, happy hours, yoga, crafternoons, skillshares, and so much more. Finding places to host events is stressful, limiting, and unpredictable. But with our own space, the sky’s the limit!
Investing your time, talents, voice, and a little dough is an investment in Queer joy and Queer empowerment.
We’re all in this together.
Cheers,
Three Brodsky, Founder
